DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION SERVICES
We begin preliminary design phases by analyzing and defining your needs and desires for the project. We examine all elements of the design including style, space needs, building site, and budget. A sketch gives physical form to the ideas we have discussed, and a preliminary cost estimate provides data for financial planning.
The design development phase includes discussion and refinement of such details as interior and exterior finishes, fixtures, and mechanical systems. Fully developed floor plans and elevations are the product of this phase.
During this phase we prepare detailed plans for use during the construction of the project. We also prepare a thorough cost analysis that includes a detailed material takeoff.
Because good communication is the key to an efficient job, we schedule a pre-construction meeting that includes the owner, designer and/or estimator, and the job manager. At this meeting we discuss logistics, security, schedules, and many other aspects of the upcoming project. Because continuing communication is so important, we schedule a regular weekly meeting between the manager and the owner during the construction to insure that the project is proceeding to everyone's expectations.
Approximately six months after the project is completed, we will set up a follow up visit to insure the quality is up to the Space Builders standards and to address anything that is unsatisfactory due to our negligence. Our ultimate goal is to add each client to our reference list.
